offering a service within the user’s postcodes. These details will enable them to
quote for a service. Any quote displayed on the website or sent by email from us
is estimated and not final and there is no obligation for the company quoting to
provide the service at this price. There is no obligation for the user to accept
the quote and service offered. These companies may contact the user directly by
phone or email with a full quote or to obtain further information for a full quote.
moveme.com’s customer service team may contact the user by phone to confirm they
are happy with the service they receive.
Broadband Transfer
The website will provide the details of the user’s move to their existing broadband
company in order to end the broadband account at their old address and set up a
new broadband account at the address the user is moving to on the move date they
provide. The website will request the transfer with the user’s broadband company
and the broadband company will contact the user directly to confirm whether the
transfer can be completed. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the
transfer has been processed by their broadband company. moveme.com’s customer service
team may contact the user by phone to confirm they are happy with the service they
receive.
Gas and Electricity set up
The website service to compare gas and electricity suppliers in your area is provided
by Energylinx Ltd. Price information is time sensitive and subject to change. Please
refer to the terms and conditions of this site. Once the request has been processed
by the gas or electricity provider it may take up to 28 days for the new account
to be active. The energy company will contact the user directly to confirm the account
set up.
Gas and Electricity transfer
The website will provide the details of the user’s move to their existing gas and/or
electricity companies in order to end the gas and/or electricity accounts at the
user’s old address and set up a new gas and/or electricity accounts at the address
the user is moving to, on the move date they provide. The website will request the
transfer with the gas and/or electricity companies and the gas and or electricity
companies will contact the user directly to confirm whether the transfer can be
completed. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the transfer has
been processed by their gas and/or electricity companies. Once the request has been
processed by the gas or electricity provider it may take up to 28 days for the new
account be active. The company will contact the user directly to confirm the account
set up. The closure and set up of the accounts is dependent on the user supplying
to the gas and/or electricity companies an accurate gas and electricity meter reading,
taken on the day of their move, at the old and new addresses. moveme.com’s customer
service team may contact the user by phone to confirm they are happy with the service
received.
Mortgage Quotes
The website will provide the details you give us about your move to our mortgage
broker and where requested your own mortgage provider to allow them to provide you
with details of mortgage rates available to you. Users are under no obligation to
accept any offers. The mortgage broker and/or your mortgage company will contact
you directly with mortgage rates and offers. The terms and conditions of these mortgage
offers are covered by the provider. The companies may contact you directly by phone
or email with a full quote or to obtain further information for a full quote. moveme.com’s
customer service team may contact the user by phone to confirm they are happy with
the service they receive.
Conveyancing Quotes
Moveme.com comply with Rule 9 of the Solicitors Code of Conduct ‘Referrals of Business’.
Any solicitor or conveyor to whom we may refer you is an independent professional
from whom you will receive impartial and confidential advice. You are free to choose
any other solicitor.
Any quote displayed on the website or sent by email from us is estimated and not
final and there is no obligation for the company quoting to provide the service
at this price. The fees quoted will not include disbursements such as local or environmental
searches, telegraphic transfer fees or stamp duty.
The Solicitors Regulation Authority (the independent regulatory body of the Law
Society of England and Wales) allows solicitors to make agreements with their introducing
sources for referral work. Such agreements must comply with a code of conduct, known
as Rule 9 ‘Referrals of Business’ which contains strict rules to safeguard you the
